How We Choose

The house decides,
not the brand

A street-facing Victorian facade, a foggy Outer Sunset bedroom and a sunny Palo Alto family room need different windows. We start with the house: its age, any historic status, which way each wall faces, street noise and the look you want.

Then we show you two or three options from the brands that fit, with samples, and a written, itemized proposal for each.

  • Historic street facades: Windsor wood-clad
  • Fog belt comfort and quiet: Alside triple-pane or Anlin with the Sound Package
  • Victorian sides and rears: Simonton Madeira with period grids
  • Modern remodels and Eichlers: Milgard Trinsic, C700 or A250
  • Front doors: ProVia

Questions

Brand
FAQ

Are you an authorized dealer?

Yes, for all six brands we carry: Milgard, Anlin, Simonton, Alside, Windsor and ProVia.

Which brand is best?

It depends on the house. Windsor wood-clad suits historic facades, Alside and Anlin vinyl excel at comfort in the fog belt, Milgard covers modern homes and Eichlers, and ProVia makes our entry doors. We often use more than one brand on the same home.

Can you mix brands on one house?

Yes, and it’s common in San Francisco: wood-clad windows on a street facade where Planning requires it, and vinyl on the sides and rear.

Do you install brands you don’t sell?

We focus on the six brands we’re authorized for, so we can stand behind the product and the installation.

Not sure which
brand fits?
We visit your home, measure every opening, show you samples and give you a written, itemized proposal. No pressure, no obligation.
